Hi Families!
I hope everyone is doing well. This Friday is Van Allen's dance marathon. The dance marathon is from 6:30-8:30. A brief reminder for Van Allen families and parents is that students who attend the dance marathon have to be chaperoned by an adult at all times. Students are not allowed to come by themselves; however, they are allowed to go with a friend’s parent if both parties agree. Let me know if you have any questions about this and I look forward to seeing you there!
Also, this week Van Allen is collecting money for dance marathon. Tomorrow, the school is collecting dimes, Thursday we are collecting quarters, and Friday we are collecting dollars. If you donate, thank you! It is greatly appreciated.
The theme for dance marathon this year is the 80's. The students and I have briefly talked about the 80's at school. On Friday, the University of Iowa students came to talk to Van Allen about dance marathon. The Univeristy of Iowa students did a nice job explaining what dance marathon is and it's importance.
